Benny Blanco to be Selena Gomez’s Wedding ring bearer revealed

Selena Gomez is sharing some fun wedding details!

On Tuesday, September 9, the 33-year-old singer and actress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she joked about who will be the ring bearer at her wedding to fiancé Benny Blanco.

“It’s wonderful, I'm very lucky,” she said about wedding planning while sitting with her Only Murders in the Building costars Martin Short and Steve Martin, adding, “It’s going well, I’m so excited.”

When Jimmy asked if Martin and Steve, were invited, Gomez replied, "Course they are, Marty’s the ring bearer."

Short playfully acted out the role, getting on one knee and lifting one hand dramatically.

"Here’s your ring, Selena," he said in a Gollum style voice mimicking the Lord of the Rings character. "Take it."

"We are all so excited because we love this lady and we love her fiancé, Bad Bunny," Short teased as the audience laughed.

Keeping a straight face, Selena corrected him by shouting, "Benny Blanco."

"That’s two different people?" Martin asked. Short replied, "Yeah completely, kind of the same."

This playful moment comes after Short praised the Calm Down singer’s relationship on the September 9 episode of the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast.

“She just adores him. She’s so happy that she’s getting married to this fabulous guy, Benny Blanco, who's just one of the great, cool guys and funny and loose, and she adores him," Short told Amy Poehler.

He added, "I'm just thrilled for her happiness, and I'm thrilled to get to work with her."

And it sounds like there could be more celebrity roles at the ceremony.

After the Spring Breakers star and Blanco announced their engagement in an Instagram post last December, Selena’s best friend Taylor Swift commented, "Yes I will be the flower girl.”

Moreover, Ed Sheeran also shared in May during Vanity Fair's "Lie Detector Test" that he had already been invited to the wedding.

In August, David Henrie, Selena’s former Wizards of Waverly Place and current Wizards Beyond Waverly Place costar told Parade that he would be "100%" at the wedding while Nicky Hilton confirmed Paris Hilton will also attend.

For the unversed, Selena and Benny went public with their relationship in December 2023, though they had known each other for years and previously collaborated on their 2019 song I Can’t Get Enough, before their friendship turned romantic.

Last month, the couple celebrated their bachelor and bachelorette parties with Selena heading to Cabo for her trip.
