Rihanna stuns at Met Gala as A$AP Rocky gushes over her style

A$AP Rocky had nothing but admiration for Rihanna as the couple made a striking appearance at the Met Gala 2026 red carpet.

Arriving at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4, the rapper praised his longtime partner’s dramatic ensemble, telling reporters she was “shining like a diamond” as she stepped out in a gold Maison Margiela gown.

Rihanna, 38, embraced the night’s “Costume Art” theme with a sculptural design that featured a structured bodice and a striking dress-within-a-dress illusion. 

The metallic piece appeared to cascade with jewel-like detailing, complemented by bold accessories, frosted makeup and gold-accented hair styling.

Rocky, 37, opted for a softer palette, wearing a baby pink coat adorned with a feathered brooch, paired with a bow tie and loafers — a look that subtly nodded to his role as a father of three.

Speaking on the carpet, the rapper also reflected on their relationship, describing it as deeply fulfilling. 

“It feels amazing” to be loved by a Black woman, he said, adding that “nothing else compares.”

The couple, who have become fixtures at fashion’s biggest night, share three children together, most recently welcoming their daughter, Rocki, in September 2025. They are also parents to sons RZA and Riot.

The 2026 Met Gala, co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour, celebrated the theme “Costume Art,” exploring the relationship between fashion and the human form.
