Ellie Goulding shares rare photo of newborn daughter Iris in Intimate post

Ellie Goulding has offered a rare glimpse into life with her newborn daughter, sharing a candid and intimate photo weeks after announcing the birth of her second child.

On Tuesday, May 5, the 39-year-old singer posted an Instagram Stories image showing herself in bed with her baby girl, Iris Edaline, whom she welcomed on March 6. 

In the photo, Goulding wore black sunglasses as she breastfed her 8-week-old daughter, offering an unfiltered moment of early motherhood.

Iris is Goulding’s first child with her boyfriend, Beau Minniear, 28, and her second child overall.

The Love Me Like You Do singer first announced her daughter’s arrival shortly after giving birth, sharing a soft image of the newborn’s hand and head. 

In her original post, she revealed the baby was born on International Women’s Day and described the experience as deeply emotional, praising the care she received from hospital staff.

“It was fitting that I spent International Women’s Day with her and the incredible female team at St Mary’s, who provided me and my baby with extraordinary care and kindness,” she wrote at the time.

Goulding also shared that her five-year-old son, Arthur — whom she shares with ex-husband Caspar Jopling — has embraced his role as a big brother.

The singer first revealed she was expecting her second child at the 2025 Fashion Awards in London, where she debuted her baby bump on the red carpet. 

She later went public with her relationship with Minniear in September 2025.

Speaking earlier this year, Goulding reflected on balancing pregnancy with her career, saying she feels fortunate to have strong support around her but is careful not to let motherhood define her entirely.

“It’s a beautiful thing to be able to grow a child, and I feel very lucky that I’m healthy,” she said in an interview. “But it’s not all I am right now.”
