Whitney Leavitt confirms season 5 will be her last on ‘Mormon Wives’
Season 5 production is expected to resume after a temporary pause earlier this year
Whitney Leavitt has clarified her future on Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, confirming she will depart the series after the upcoming fifth season.
The TikTok star addressed ongoing speculation on social media on May 5, following reports that she announced her exit during a recent Broadway appearance in Chicago.
“I’ve seen a lot of conversation on my announcement, so I just wanted to come on here and share my thoughts,” she said in a video.
Leavitt confirmed that while she is stepping away from the reality series, she will still appear in Season 5.
“Just to be very clear, I am finishing Season 5, so yes, I will be in that season, but also yes, it will be my last,” she said.
Leavitt has been part of the series since its debut in 2024, which follows a group of Utah-based Mormon influencers known as MomTok. The show’s fourth season aired earlier this year.
Her announcement comes as she continues to expand her career beyond reality television. Since February, she has been performing as Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of Chicago.
She also competed on Dancing with the Stars last year and is set to appear in the upcoming holiday rom-com All For Love.
Reflecting on her time on the series, Leavitt said her decision to leave this time comes from a different place than past departures.
“The times I’ve walked away from ‘MomTok,’ it came from a place of anger and frustration, but this time is significantly different because I’m leaving with gratitude,” she said.
She added that she views this chapter as naturally coming to an end.
“I feel content. I feel like this is a chapter that’s closing in my life and honestly I believe that’s how it was always meant to be,” she said.
Leavitt also expressed appreciation for her castmates and experiences on the show, saying the relationships built over the years will remain meaningful regardless of what comes next.
