Prince Harry has once again spoken candidly about his family, his homeland, and his hopes for the future. During his recent trip to Ukraine, the Duke of Sussex, gave insight into his evolving relationship with the U.K. and his father, King Charles.

He even shared about his desire to one day bring his children back to England.

Here is what Prince Harry has shared:

Harry Wants to Take Archie and Lilibet to the U.K.

When asked whether he’d like to bring his children to his homeland, Harry replied to The Guardian, “Yes I would. This week has definitely brought that closer.”

His comments mark a shift from May, when he told BBC News that he couldn’t “see a world” in which he’d bring Meghan and the children to Britain due to the loss of automatic police protection.

Security Concerns Still Weigh Heavily

Harry admitted that one of the major obstacles remains his downgraded security since stepping back from royal duties in 2020.

“They’re going to miss, well, everything. I love my country. I always have done. Despite what some people in that country have done.”

He added that it was “really quite sad” he hasn’t been able to show his children the U.K.

Rekindling His Connection to the U.K.

Despite living in California, Harry emphasised that his love for his home country remains strong.

“I have always loved the UK and I always will love the UK. It’s been good to reconnect with the causes I am passionate about… It is hard to do it from far away.”

On His Memoir Spare and Family Fallout

Harry acknowledged that his 2023 memoir made reconciliation more difficult but defended his decision to publish it.

“The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out, and it needed to be corrected.”

He pushed back against criticism, adding, “I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public… My conscience is clear.”

Reconciliation on the Horizon?

Harry stressed that accountability must come before reconciliation, “It’s not stubbornness, it is having principles… It is not about revenge, it is about accountability. You cannot have reconciliation before you have truth.”

Those close to the duke believe this latest reunion may be a first step toward mending ties with the King.
