Inside Queen Camilla’s unique meeting with Melania Trump
Queen Camilla gives a special Windsor Castle tour to Melania Trump

During her Windsor Castle visit, Melania Trump was treated to a unique and exclusive tour by Queen Camilla, including Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Royal Library.
Stepping out side by side on September 18, after Donald Trump departed Windsor Castle ahead of meeting Sir Keir Starmer at Chequers, the 77-year-old British Royal family member and the 55-year-old First Lady spent time together exploring the residence’s treasures.

The Tour
In 2024, Queen Camilla hosted a reception to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, which the Royal Collection Trust describes as the world's largest and most famous doll house.
Among the treasures on display, Camilla highlighted pieces, guiding the First Lady through the presentation, that held personal ties to the Royal Family making the visit especially meaningful.
What was on Display?
Adding to the charm were the miniature books, each under two inches tall, which had been carefully placed inside the iconic Dolls’ House.
The collection also had a personal touch as it featured a work by the Queen’s son Tom Parker Bowles, whose book A Recipe Fit for a Queen was also included.
Also included were the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Alice in Wonderland, and King Charles’ set of Beatrix Potter.
More on the Tour
Literacy has long been one of Queen Camilla’s major priorities.
At Windsor Castle’s historic Royal Library, which stores a vast collection, she shared her enthusiasm for it with Melania.
The treasures on display featured a poem and a sketch by Queen Elizabeth I, as well as King Charles I’s personal annotated copy of Shakespeare's Second Folio.
