Ariana Grande is a singer with an amazing voice. From acting as a teenager to becoming a pop star, she has released several albums. Each album reflects what she was going through: love, heartbreak, self-discovery.
The pop icon's music has grown with her, showing fans her strength and vulnerability. She is known for her powerful vocals, catchy pop hits and emotional ballads that connect deeply with listeners.
Let's take a look at Ariana’s seven studio albums from least to most favourite and showing how her music evolved over time.
7. My Everything (2014)
This was Ariana’s second album. It had big pop production and EDM sounds as some songs are well-loved, like Break Free, One Last Time and Love Me Harder but overall, many tracks have not aged well and the album doesn't feel as memorable now.
6. Dangerous Woman (2016)
Here, Ariana started maturing as an artist with fully fledged themes and confidence. Songs like Into You, Moonlight and Be Alright shine. But many songs didn’t connect with fans, so this album is lower in the ranking.
5. Positions (2020)
This album got mixed reviews at first. Some of the tracks blend into each other. But highlights like POV, Positions and Off the Table with The Weeknd make it better than Dangerous Woman.
4. Yours Truly (2013)
Ariana’s debut album, Yours Truly showed her bold voice and old school influences like 90’s R&B and doo-wop. Songs like Baby I, Tattooed Heart, The Way stand out. It’s nostalgic and fun and shows her beginnings in pop music.
3. Sweetener (2018)
Sweetener is probably the most mature and powerful of her work. It mixes pop, trap and R&B. Tracks like God is a Woman, No Tears Left to Cry, Breathing, Get Well Soon offer both strength and vulnerability. The album won numerous awards.
2. Eternal Sunshine (2024)
The most recent one in this ranking, it has emotional ballads and more upbeat songs. Vocally, Ariana sounds the strongest here. The fan feels that this album represents her clearly and powerfully, with songs like We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love) standing out. It feels comforting and honest.
1. Thank U, Next (2019)
This one is considered Ariana's best work by her fans. It came after some hard times: loss and heartbreak, while the lyrics are raw, the production is tight, and the vocals shine. Favourite tracks include Imagine, Ghostin and the title track Thank U, Next. It feels like an album made for healing.
