Inside Prince William’s ‘bizarre’ behaviour during split from Princess Kate

Prince William’s "bizarre" behaviour has been unveiled during his brief split from Princess Kate during their dating period in 2007.

For the unversed, the now married couple had met while studying at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland in 2001.

However, at the age of 25-year-old, the prince had to end his long-term relationship with his lover due to constant public pressure and scrutiny from the press which led him becoming "quiet, withdrawn, and not himself".

Now, while discussing his old behaviour, the palace staff told Radar Online how the brief separation deeply affected the prince.

"That time really weighed on William. He wasn't himself – much quieter, more withdrawn. You could tell something wasn't right," a former royal staffer said, adding, "He remained courteous and composed, but there was a heaviness about him that everyone noticed."

According to the source, he never spoke about it directly, but it was clear that it had to do with Kate as the atmosphere around him completely changed.

In short, the prince went very quiet and became a little bit withdrawn.

Eventually Prince William and Kate Middleton got married in 2011 and have three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
