Kate Middleton’s surprise meeting with unexpected celebrity friend: ‘Tea and biscuits’ with ‘future queen’

Kate Middleton recently surprised the Kemp family at their home, Roman Kemp has revealed.

The TV personality and former radio host, son of actor and musician Martin Kemp, Roman revealed that the Princess of Wales had reached out to him to collaborate on a mental health campaign. Following their meeting at his home, Kate was invited by Roman to meet his parents at theirs — an invitation she cordially accepted.

“So my mum raced out and got a load of nice things in, and suddenly the future queen is having tea and biscuits with her and my dad!” the FFS! My Dad Is Martin Kemp podcast host told The Sun.

He further shared that when the Princess had arrived, she noticed that “everyone else had taken their shoes off” and “offered to take hers off” as well — “It was surreal, somehow you never expect to see a member of the Royal Family in their socks!”

Roman Kemp also added that Kate Middleton went home with a bottle of apple juice from his parents, Martin Kemp and Shirlie Holliman, which they had produced themselves. In return, she wrote separate letters to Roman and his parents expressing her gratitude, with the former getting his note “framed” at home.
