Bowen Yang reveals what Ariana Grande taught him during 'Wicked' filming
Bowen Yang starred as Pfannee in 'Wicked' and 'Wicked: For Good'
It comes as no surprise that Bowen Yang has been changed 'for good' after filming for Wicked.
Speaking with Esquire, on December 10, the Emmy nominated Saturday Night Live star opened up about the lessons co-star Ariana Grande taught him while filming for the blockbuster Wicked movies.
"I’ve learned so many things from Ariana Grande," he stated.
The 35-year-old comedian went on to reveal that the Victorious alum taught him how to 'overcome things.'
"I lost a sense of myself while we were shooting Wicked because it was just the back-to-back work of doing SNL and then going to London for Wicked and then doing SNL again and going to London. It really unmoored me. And Ari very gently brought me back to shore," he admitted.
In Wicked and its sequel Wicked: For Good, Bowen stars as Pfannee, the loyal friend of Glinda, played by Ariana Grande.
Wicked: For Good hit the theaters on November 21, 2025, shattering opening weekend’s box office records.
As per The Hollywood Reporter’s reports, the musical surpassed the original film’s $112.5 million opening weekend, pulling in $150 million in North America and $226 million worldwide
The outlet also noted that the sequel also celebrated the biggest opening weekend ever for a Broadway musical adaptation.
