Ashley Park turns wardrobe mishap into fun during 'Emily in Paris' promotion

Ashley Park had a near wardrobe mishap when she was promoting the upcoming season of her Netflix series Emily in Paris on The Drew Barrymore Show.

On Thursday, December 11, during an interview with Drew Barrymore, who called Ashley her "dear friend," praised her outfit.

"That is stunning. I would love to wear something like that," Barrymore said, referring to Park’s Michael Kors ensemble.

"Should we trade?" Park replied as she went to remove her jacket only for a surprising moment to unfold, "Oh my God, it popped open!" she exclaimed, laughing at the wardrobe malfunction. 

Barrymore quickly joked, "By the way my kind of show!"

In Emily in Paris, Park plays Mindy Chen, the best friend of Lily Collins’ titular character.

Created by Darren Starr, also known for Beverly Hills, 90210 as well as Sex and the City, the series follows Emily as an American marketing executive navigating life in Paris with croissants, haute couture and romance.

Interestingly, Park returns as her beloved character in the fifth season, reuniting with Lily, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, Camille Razat and Eugenio Franceschini.

Moreover, Netflix’s series season five is set to premiere on December 18, 2025.
