Nick Reiner has been arrested and additionally charged for murdering his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner.

According to PEOPLE, “Police subsequently said the couple's son Nick Reiner was identified as the suspect. At 9:15 p.m., more than five hours after the bodies were found, Nick was arrested.”

It was previously reported that the late couple’s son had attended a Christmas party at Conan O’Brien’s residence where he got into a scuffle with his father.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed to the outlet that the newly charged offender was picked up near University of Southern California (USC).

“Authorities were able to ‘quickly’ locate Nick near the campus, the outlet reported, where he was arrested on suspicion of murder at around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday,” the outlet shared.

While part of the LAPD’s statement to PEOPLE revealed that “the location of the suspect’s arrest was in the Exposition Park area near USC.”

Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, were discovered dead at their Brentwood, California home by their daughter, Romy, on December 14. The couple shared three children together — Jake, Romy, and Nick.
