Inside Gisele Bündchen’s need for privacy amid the discovery of her new wedding

Gisele Bündchen is not concerned about the attention which her personal life attracts any longer, as it was recently discovered that she quietly tied the knot with her partner Joaquim Valente on December 3.

“Gisele is tired of all of the attention on her private life, but [she and Valente] are both so happy being together, and being new parents it was what they wanted to do,” a source has told PEOPLE.

The supermodel and jiu-jitsu instructor, both Brazilians, became parents to a baby boy in February earlier this year.

“They are best friends with a lot in common and are so excited about everything,” the insider added.

While further stating that the 45-year-old newlywed “just wants to do things her own way,” the source shared that “a small, private non-event was what she wanted.”

“Gisele is happy and in love, and getting married was in her plans — the timing just had to be right. She didn’t want anything over the top or made public so they could enjoy the day, each other and the family,” it was revealed.

Gisele Bündchen and Joaquim Valente got married at their residence in Surfside, Florida — three years after her split from ex-husband Tom Brady, October 2022.
