Lily Collins opens up about emotionally joyful moment on 'Emily in Paris'

Lily Collins experienced a heartfelt moment while filming the latest season of Emily in Paris.

During a recent conversation with PEOPLE at the Netflix show’s season five world premiere in Paris, December 15, the 36-year-old actress opened up about a particular scene with co-star Ashley Park that left her in tears for an unexpected reason.

“One of my most fun moments was shooting the scene with Ashley [Park] where we have our face masks on and we couldn’t stop laughing — we were crying,” the To Be Bone star shared, adding, “It’s always fun with Ashley.”

The Blind Side actress went on to praise Park and reflected on several memorable experiences they shared while filming the fifth season. 

Among the highlights was shooting in Venice — a first visit for Collins.

“Oh, there’s so many fun scenes. Going to Venice was epic, you know, I’ve never been to Venice, so shooting with Ashley in the streets of Venice was really magical,” she said.

In the series, Lilly Collins stars as Emily, an American navigating life in Paris, while Park plays her best friend Mindy, whom Emily meets in season one.

Ashley Park also described wrapping up the season as unforgettable, calling the Venice shoot “really once in a lifetime.”
