Teyana Taylor stands by Kanye West amid the rapper controversies

Teyana Taylor has shown her support for rapper Kanye West even amid the rapper’s recent controversies.

The All's Fair star, who was previously signed to West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, emphasized that friendship doesn’t require agreement on everything.

“I don’t have to agree with everything that he do or say, but I’m not going to, like, abandon him,” Taylor told Vanity Fair. 

“My brothers do s*** that I don’t agree with… I don’t get into none of that,” she added.

Taylor also stressed her honesty with West. “If you want a real answer, you ask me. So if he asks me something, he knows he’s gonna get a real answer. I do my s*** behind the scenes and do what I need to do to help. I’m in my business and I drink my water.”

The Golden Globe-winning star recently celebrated her role as Perfidia Beverly Hills in One Battle After Another, sharing the screen with Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Benicio Del Toro, and Chase Infiniti. 

Taylor described her experience as “the ultimate masterclass,” praising her co-stars for helping her grow.

“It’s like I am able to be the best version of myself because I’m surrounded by the best of the best,” she said.

Despite her award buzz, Taylor remained grounded. “I try not to get my head too wrapped around me, just trying to stay grounded and not getting to a place where I’m obsessed with the outcome,” she explained, sidestepping Oscar's speculation.
