Halle Berry reveals why she refuses to fake it in bedroom
Halle Berry insists on mutual pleasure over protecting a partner's ego
Oscar-winner Halle Berry has delivered a candid lesson in bedroom honesty, revealing that she has retired from "performing" for her partner's ego.
Speaking on the Sex With Emily podcast, the 59-year-old actress explained that she no longer fakes orgasms to please her fiancé, musician Van Hunt.
Refusing to prioritise a man's needs over her own satisfaction, Berry insisted on a "mutually enjoyable experience," rather than one partner snoring while the other stares at the ceiling.
“That’s putting his needs before our own. And now I don’t do that anymore,” she noted, championing a balanced approach to intimacy.
The Catwoman star recently confirmed her engagement to Hunt, 55, following nearly six years of dating. While the proposal was reportedly "on hold" for a period, Berry clarified on The Tonight Show that she has indeed said yes, though no wedding date is set.
Having been married three times previously—to David Justice, Eric Benét, and Olivier Martinez—Berry admitted to some natural hesitancy regarding another trip down the aisle.
Despite her past, she feels a unique connection with Hunt, describing him as the person she truly "should have married."
The couple, who went public in 2020, feel no pressure to validate their bond through a legal ceremony. “We don’t feel like we have to get married to validate our love in any way. We don’t,” she noted.
However, they view a potential wedding as a beautiful expression of their commitment rather than a necessity, marking a refreshingly grounded chapter in the actress's high-profile romantic life.
