Egypt Sherrod teases a 'phoenix rising' tattoo as she hints at TV return
Egypt Sherrod asks followers for artist recommendations for her debut ink
Television personality Egypt Sherrod has revealed plans for a significant personal milestone as she navigates a transformative period in her career.
The former HGTV star, 49, shared with her Instagram followers that she is prepareing to get her first tattoo, a decision she light-heartedly attributed to a potential “mid-life crisis”.
Sherrod, who currently has no ink, described a grand vision for her debut piece. “I want one of a phoenix rising, and I want it to go around my waist and up my back,” she explained, adding with a laugh, “I’m ready to do this.”
The design choice appears symbolic of Sherrod’s current professional transition. Following the June 2025 cancellation of her popular series Married to Real Estate, which she hosted alongside her husband, Mike Jackson, Sherrod has hinted at a forthcoming return to the screen.
Responding to fans who expressed their desire to see the couple back on television, she teased, “Soon come! Redirection,” and noted that “GOD is doing a new thing.”
As she seeks the perfect artist for her phoenix design, Sherrod has promised to share the experience with her audience. “I’m going to take you all on this journey when I get it done too,” she pledged.
The broadcaster’s candidness comes amidst a broader wave of programming shifts at HGTV, which saw her long-running show come to an end after a family holiday in the Mediterranean.
For Sherrod, this new chapter represents both a literal and metaphorical rising, marked by a commitment to personal growth and artistic expression.
