Christopher Landon to direct 'Final Boarding' horror film for Screen Gems
Landon will draw from both original short story and previous screenplay adaptation by Javier Gullón
Christopher Landon is on board to pen and helm Final Boarding, a fresh supernatural horror flick for Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems, inspired by the short story crafted by Clarence Hammond.
The movie's plot is under wraps. Landon will draw from both the original short story and a previous screenplay adaptation by Javier Gullón, whose involvement we revealed last February.
Hammond will take on the role of producer for this project.
A talented writer, director, and producer renowned for his contributions to the horror genre, Landon recently completed work on Drop, a well-received mystery thriller featuring Meghann Fahy and Brandon Sklenar, produced by Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes for Universal.
The film made its debut last April. Following that, he initiated a Drop reunion at Netflix, stepping up to direct Blink of an Eye, a thriller scripted by his recent partners Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs from his own concept.
Landon will also produce this film along with Brad Fuller, Cameron Fuller, and Michael Bay of Platinum Dunes, who previously collaborated on Drop, as well.
Recently involved in co-writing and producing Screen Gems’ horror comedy Heart Eyes, Landon is perhaps most recognisable for directing Freaky and the Happy Death Day films.
He played a pivotal role in developing the Paranormal Activity series at Paramount with Screen Gems President Ashley Brucks during her earlier period there. He is represented by WME, Mosaic, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
