Kim Kardashian vows to 'intervene' following Britney Spears’ recent arrest
Kim Kardashian steps in to support Britney Spears ahead of May court date
Kim Kardashian has reportedly mobilised to support Britney Spears following the singer's recent legal difficulties in California.
Spears was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of driving under the influence and, although subsequently released, is expected to appear in court on 4 May.
This development has caused significant alarm within her social circle, particularly for the Kardashian family. An insider told Closer Magazine, “The Kardashians are genuinely terrified for Britney right now,” noting that the situation has reached a critical juncture.
Driven by a friendship spanning several decades, the SKIMS founder is said to feel "incredibly protective" of the pop icon. Sources indicate that both Kim and Khloe Kardashian view themselves as some of the few loyal allies remaining in the singer's life.
“Kim stepped in immediately. After what’s happened, everyone feels it’s only a matter of time before something truly tragic occurs if things don’t change,” the source explained.
The reported intervention stems from a fear that the current trajectory of Spears’ personal life requires urgent external support. “Kim really believes that if someone doesn’t intervene now, Britney might not survive – and she’s vowed that “someone” will be her,” the insider added.
The sisters reportedly maintain that their unique position and long-standing bond provide a necessary foundation for offering help.
“They honestly believe if they don’t try to help her now, no one will,” the source stated, highlighting the perceived isolation surrounding the star ahead of her upcoming court appearance.
