Kylie Jenner’s former assistant Victoria Villarroel realised it was time to leave her position after their relationship crossed professional lines.

“I remember it like it was yesterday — this was during year five,” Villarroel shared on Thursday’s episode of her “Better Half” podcast, which she co-hosts with Jenner’s close friend Stassie Karanikolaou.

“We were in the kitchen, and [Jenner] said, ‘Vic, I need my laptop, it’s upstairs,’ and I jokingly thought, ‘Oh gosh, who’s going to grab that?’” she said with a chuckle.

“I said something ridiculous like, ‘Oh no, that seems like a trek, I don’t want to fetch your laptop.’”

“Of course, Kylie and I had a professional relationship, but it’s impossible not to bond closely with someone you see every day,” Villarroel noted about her connection with the “Kardashians” star.

“You become intimately aware of everything about them, through all the highs and lows.”

“I was so apprehensive and kept wondering, ‘Am I making the right choice? What if I’m walking away from the best job I’ll ever have?’”

She mentioned that many voices around her were urging her to stay in a role others could only dream of having.

Eventually, when she expressed her intention to leave to Jenner, the makeup mogul assured Villarroel of her unwavering support no matter what she pursued next.

“She was so understanding, saying, ‘Wow, Vic, I want you to excel, and I’ll always support you. I love you dearly.’”

Villarroel resigned as Jenner’s assistant in January 2020. Reports indicated she left the position to chase a new career path as an influencer.

The two have continued to share a strong bond over the years, with Villarroel staying within Jenner’s close-knit group.
