Emmy Award-nominee D’Arcy Carden is set to receive 'Excellence in Acting Award' at SeriesFest
Emmy Award-nominee D’Arcy Carden is set to receive the "Excellence in Acting Award" at SeriesFest during its 12th edition from May 6 to 10.
Carden, who will soon appear in Peacock's The Five-Star Weekend launching on July 16, will be celebrated on May 8.
"D’Arcy Carden embodies the essence of storytelling that SeriesFest aims to promote, delivering sincerity, emotion, and depth in every role," stated event founders Randi Kleiner and Kaily Smith.
Their statement added, "From her roles in The Good Place, Broad City, Barry, and A League of Their Own to her advocacy for independent TV, including her part in Sunny Nights which debuted at SeriesFest: Season 11 last year, D’Arcy elevates diverse voices and motivates the next wave of creators. We are excited to celebrate her with this year’s Excellence in Acting Award.
Previously recognised individuals include Cable TV Pioneer, the Founder & Former Chairman of Starz Entertainment John J. Sie (First Visionary Award), The Testaments actress Amy Seimetz (Spotlight Performance Award), Bridgerton director Gia-Rayne B. Harris (Ambassador Award), and Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy producers Littleton Road Productions (Television Impact Award).
The annual event was established to discover and support forward-thinking projects in the television space.
This year, the organisation will present an extensive lineup of programs, featuring scripted, unscripted, and late-night pilot contests, exclusive previews, series debuts, panels, and educational workshops. More programming announcements are on the way.
