19-year-old suspected of murdering parents in Colorado tragedy

A 19-year-old is thought to have killed his parents in what appears to be a double murder-suicide in Colorado.

Officers from the Pueblo Police Department (PPD) discovered two deceased individuals early on Friday (April 4), one on the street and another in a car, according to a news release.

The deceased were eventually named by the Pueblo County Coroner as Glenn Allen Beeman Jr., aged 40, and Amanda Leigh Manion, aged 41.

While investigating the scene, police were informed of another death: a man in Pueblo West who died from a self-inflicted gunshot, according to reports.

Based on initial findings, police identified the man as “the suspect from the double homicide.” Later, he was recognized as the son of the murder victims, 19-year-old Glenn Allen Beeman III.

The probe into the trio of deaths continues, as stated by Pueblo police.

Amanda’s sibling, Eric Manion, expressed on Facebook that the teenager’s parents were “estranged” in a post discussing the “tragic event.”

“To Family and Friends, I am deeply sorry if this tragic event is reaching you on Facebook, and I apologize for not being able to contact everyone personally,” he wrote. “With immense sorrow, I share that my sister, Amanda Manion, her estranged ex-husband, Glenn Beeman Sr., and my eldest nephew, Glenn Beeman III, have departed.”

Manion further mentioned the police announcement that the investigation is still in its early stages. "We are still in the process of gathering information about this matter," he noted.

“As our family embarks on this grieving process and sorts through these events, we kindly request that you hold your questions for now,” Manion concluded in his post. “Thank you all for your understanding and support.”

Two months before she lost her life in the presumed murder-suicide, Amanda, who also had other young children as seen on her social media, marked her son's 19th birthday with a heartfelt message on Facebook.
