Royal family ready to welcome Peter Phillips' future stepdaughter Georgina
Harriet Sperling's teenage daughter debuted with the British royal family on Easter Sunday
Georgina Sperling made a memorable appearance as she accompanied her soon-to-be stepsisters and stepfather at a gathering with the royal family.
The 13-year-old, together with her mother, Harriet Sperling, attended the annual Easter Mattins service at St George's Chapel on April 5.
Attendees included King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales. While Harriet has previously participated in royal events, Easter Sunday was the first time her teenage daughter joined the family at such an occasion.
The young girl, wearing a blue top paired with a brown skirt, made her way to the chapel alongside Isla Phillips, 14, and Savannah Phillips, 15, with their mothers and Peter Phillips walking behind them.
Outside the chapel, Georgina was positioned between her mother and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, with Princess Anne briefly standing in front of her as discussions took place between Harriet and the Princess Royal.
Cameras caught Georgina as she pushed her hair behind her ear. Body language specialist Inbaal Honigman examined the teenager's first royal family appearance, noting that Georgina appeared "a bit nervous."
"While standing with the group, Georgina shows some natural signs of being tense. Elevated shoulders suggest a sense of caution, and slightly closed fists indicate a bit of anxiety, as though she’s ready to defend herself. As she touches her hair and face, these actions convey her desire to be well-liked," Inbaal commented to HELLO!. "These soothing actions suggest she doesn't want to appear uneasy."
The expert in body language pointed out that Georgina’s "nervous motions" were not reflected by the royal family during the Easter event.
"Their relaxed, warm smiles and gestures show that they felt comfortable and aimed to ensure Georgina felt the same," Inbaal explained.
"They all communicated with her in a warm, gentle manner, eager to bring her into the family circle.
Princess Anne, in particular, made an effort to speak directly to her, maintaining eye contact in a kind and open way."
