Robbie Williams turns to AI for help with writing amid post-concert controversy
The admission comes months after his Istanbul concert cancellation controversy
Robbie Williams has made a surprising admission about his use of artificial intelligence, revealing that he relies on AI tools to help craft his social media posts.
The 53-year-old singer shared the revelation during an interview with Tania Bryer, explaining that he often drafts his thoughts before turning to AI for refinement.
“I write the thing first, and then I throw the thing into AI,” Williams said, adding that the technology helps correct his spelling and grammar.
The former Take That member admitted he frequently uses the tool for his Instagram content, joking that his writing skills are not his strongest area.
“The things I’m writing on Instagram, I can’t spell, my grammar’s terrible. They sort that out,” he said.
Williams added that over time, the system has become more tailored to his style. “It knows me back to front,” he noted.
The comments come months after the singer faced public backlash over the cancellation of his planned Istanbul concert in October 2025, which was reportedly called off amid security concerns and protests.
The concert, part of his Britpop world tour, drew criticism from activist groups in Turkey who objected to Williams’ past performances in Israel and his family’s Jewish heritage, leading to heightened tensions and eventual cancellation.
Despite the controversy, Williams continues his international touring schedule and is expected to perform in Australia, including a show at McDonald Jones Stadium in November 2026.
