  • Selena Gomez debunked the divorce rumours with a "Mrs. Blanco" Instagram post.
  • The rumours originated from a parody account and a fake "single" screenshot.
  • The couple has been married since September 2025 and shows no signs of separating.

Selena Gomez has effectively silenced a wave of viral divorce rumours by reaffirming her commitment to her husband, Benny Blanco.

The speculation, which sent social media into a frenzy on Thursday, was primarily fueled by a fabricated screenshot appearing to show Gomez declaring herself "single" on Instagram Stories.

However, fans and fact-checkers quickly traced the claims' origin to a parody account designed to mimic legitimate entertainment news outlets.

The Only Murders in the Building star responded to the noise by posting a new update with the caption "Mrs. Blanco," signalling to her 430 million followers that her marriage remains intact.

The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate Santa Barbara ceremony in September 2025, have been the subject of intense public scrutiny since they first went public in late 2023.

Despite the "power merger" narrative often pushed by netizens, the pair has maintained a relatively steady dynamic.

Gomez previously shared that her past experiences had prepared her for this relationship, noting that she finally felt in the "right headspace" to be with Blanco.

"I don’t think you deserved what I had gone through before," she told him during a candid public exchange, highlighting the supportive nature of their bond.

While secondary rumours involving "cheating allegations" and Gomez "moving out" surfaced over the weekend, no credible evidence or public court filings have emerged to support a split.

In fact, the couple was recently seen celebrating a romantic "backyard date" for Valentine's Day, complete with a heart-shaped rose display.

Industry analysts suggest the "split controversy" is a classic example of how easily parody content can be mistaken for breaking news in the digital age.
