Stagecoach truly highlights family bonds!

On Saturday (April 25), Noah Cyrus was joined by her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, for a surprise duet of "On Our Way Along" at the Stagecoach Music Festival.

This song wrapped up Noah's performance. She invited her dad to take the stage and her brother, Braison Cyrus, also made an appearance. Braison, 31, previously performed with Noah on "Don't Put It All On Me," a collaboration with Fleet Foxes released in 2025.

After their shared performance, PEOPLE spoke with Billy Ray, who described performing with Noah and Braison as an "incredible experience."

"Today was truly fantastic, something I'll remember forever," Billy Ray shared exclusively with PEOPLE. "It held special meaning."

Billy Ray, 64, and Noah, 26, introduced "On Our Way Along" earlier this month. Her brotherBraison Cyrus was instrumental in writing and producing the track. Shortly after its debut, the pair performed the song on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

In a press release, Billy Ray called “On Our Way Along” a “tribute to the essence of music and family” created “straight from the heart for the heart.”

"I'm thrilled to collaborate with my dad and my brother Braison (our producer) on this song,” Noah mentioned in the same press release.

"Braison has crafted an amazing album, and I'm honored to contribute to it and our father's legacy."

Speaking with American Songwriter on April 2, Billy Ray shared his appreciation for this fresh chapter as he hadn't expected to return to making music.

“This is deeply meaningful to me because, honestly, I wasn't sure if I'd have the opportunity to make music again,” Billy Ray remarked.

“[Back in 2019,] I was at the pinnacle with ‘Old Town Road.' Then, in 2020, I received a few Grammys, and the industry doors seemed to shut.”

“But the sheer passion for music brought everything together naturally,” he explained. “I am grateful for this moment. It's an incredibly special period.”

In 2022, Noah and Billy Ray also teamed up for "Noah (Stand Still)," from her debut album The Hardest Part. The song talks about her battle with recovery and depression while Billy Ray offers heartfelt advice to help her through it.

The track found its inspiration when Noah visited her father in Nashville during her early recovery from a Xanax addiction, as a press release stated at the time.

In August 2025, after dropping her second album I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me, Noah spoke to PEOPLE about the guidance Billy Ray gave her about navigating her music career.

He advised her "to be an outsider, whatever that means to you, whether it's thinking beyond limits and creating unexpected music, or living on your own terms like Waylon [Jennings] and Johnny [Cash]," Noah explained, "or just setting your own rules."
