Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz ignore David Beckham on 51st birthday
Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have missed his father's birthday
Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have missed his father's birthday for the second consecutive year.
The celebrated athlete David Beckham marked his 51st birthday on Saturday (May 2), receiving affection from his family, minus his distant son and daughter-in-law.
The Beckham family has been experiencing tension for over a year due to Brooklyn and Nicola’s significant dispute with the rest of his family, particularly his parents, David and Victoria.
The former pop star initiated the birthday tributes for her husband, expressing admiration and sharing a collection of previously unseen private images, including one of David on a boat wearing only small red shorts.
In the caption, the style icon wrote: “You mean the world to us. We adore you immensely!!!
“Happy birthday to the most amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend.”
Brooklyn’s siblings, Romeo and Cruz, also honored their father by sharing childhood photos with him.
Romeo posted: “Happy birthday dad. Love you lots. Thanks for everything you’ve done,” adding two heart emojis.
Cruz uploaded a picture of himself performing with a guitar for his dad on a fancy yacht, simply captioning it, “Happy birthday xxx”
The promising artist’s partner shared a heartfelt message for David’s birthday.
She added a photo of young Cruz with his dad on her Instagram stories.
Jackie expressed: “Happy birthday to the incredible David Beckham. Thank you for being a fantastic role model and father to this young man.
“Having someone like you to admire truly makes a difference, especially with how genuinely you treat others.”
She wrapped up by saying: “Blessed to celebrate another year with you.”
Earlier this year, Brooklyn issued an extensive statement criticising his family, particularly his mother's alleged actions at his and Nicola’s nuptials.
Brooklyn also highlighted Victoria’s unwillingness to engage in a charity initiative Nicola was supporting, stating: “For years we’ve endeavored to attend and support every fashion event, party, and press occasion to portray ‘our perfect family!’
“But when my wife sought my mom’s support to aid homeless dogs during the LA fires, my mom declined.”
Last month, Victoria addressed her ongoing dispute with Brooklyn.
In a conversation with The Wall Street Journal, Victoria didn’t mention Brooklyn directly when questioned about the conflict but talked about always striving to “guard and cherish our children”.
The Spice Girls alum shared: “We have always—we cherish our children dearly.
“Our aim has always been to be the best parents possible. As public figures for over 30 years, safeguarding and loving our children has been our focus.
“And that’s essentially all I wish to articulate on the matter.”
