  • Whitney Leavitt announced her exit from the Hulu series during her Broadway finale.
  • The actress will now star in and produce the holiday film All for Love.
  • Hulu recently confirmed that Season 5 filming will resume after a production pause.

Whitney Leavitt is departing Hulu’s hit reality television series, "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives", the actress-turned-Broadway starlet announced during her final performance in "Chicago" on Sunday.

Her representative later confirmed the exit to Deadline, marking the end of her tenure as a founding cast member.

Leavitt has appeared in every episode of the Emmy-nominated show, which documents a group of Mormon influencers navigating a sex scandal that disrupted their faith and community.

The departure comes as the production prepares for its fifth season. The series recently faced significant hurdles, pausing filming following an alleged domestic violence incident involving cast member Taylor Frankie Paul.

Although charges against Paul were eventually dropped, the streaming service only recently announced that production would resume, though a specific filming schedule remains unconfirmed.

Leavitt, a breakout star of the "MomTok" phenomenon, is now pivoting toward a career in scripted entertainment and film production.

Beyond her reality television roots, Leavitt has seen a rapid rise in the performing arts. Following her stint on "Dancing with the Stars" Season 34 with partner Mark Ballas, she made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart.

Her run in "Chicago" was extended by two weeks after achieving the production's highest ticket sales since 2023.

She is now set to make her feature debut as the executive producer and star of the upcoming holiday romantic comedy "All for Love".

This new venture, produced by The Ninth House, aligns with the acting ambitions she has frequently shared with her substantial social media following.
