From Brooklyn bouncer to television star

Born on 16 April 1974 in Brooklyn, Chapman was widely recognised for his remarkable stature, standing at seven feet tall. Before entering the entertainment industry, he was employed as a bouncer at a strip club, where he first encountered Tracy Morgan.

Morgan subsequently cast Chapman and Kevin Brown in 30 Rock as Grizz and Dot Com — two confidants to Morgan's self-referential character Tracy Jordan. The sitcom aired from 2006 to 2013.

In addition to his work on 30 Rock, Chapman created and hosted his own YouTube variety series, Grizz Chronicles. He also made guest appearances in episodes of Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, and The Good Fight.
