The Brutalist writer-director Brady Corbet, Pillion filmmaker Harry Lighton, and The Iron Lady writer Abi Morgan are among the talented individuals joining the third edition of Storyhouse, the Dublin-based screenwriting festival by Element Pictures.

This year's event, scheduled at the Irish capital’s Light House Cinema on April 16-17, will also feature French filmmaker Audrey Diwan, Bugonia writer Will Tracy, and Sorry Baby filmmaker Eva Victor as participants.

Other notable speakers include Big Boys writer Jack Rooke, Mood writer-creator Nicole Lecky, Wild Cherry writer Ava Pickett, who is co-writing Jehanne d’Arc with Baz Luhrmann, Christy filmmaker Brendan Canty, and Brides writer Suhayla El-Bushra.

Storyhouse is a non-profit effort led by Element Pictures producer and co-CEO Ed Guiney. It receives support from Screen Ireland, Fremantle, Element Pictures, Coimisiún na Meán, Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet, and is organised in partnership with the Light House Cinema.

The festival aims to be a gathering point for both budding and seasoned writers and industry professionals, offering valuable interviews, discussion panels, and case studies from some of the world’s top narrative creators for the screen.

These panels run parallel to Storyhouse Lab, a five-day program that brings together 15 up-and-coming screenwriters with industry veterans, under the guidance of What Richard Did and 500 Miles writer Malcolm Campbell.

“We are thrilled for Storyhouse to come back for its third year, again bringing some of the globe’s foremost and dynamic screenwriters and creators to Dublin’s core,” stated Guiney.

“The festival has undeniably become a creative sanctuary for writers, a place for artists to share knowledge, evolve ideas, and find motivation. This year's participants promise an exhilarating range of voices, genres, and perspectives poised to kindle and nurture a new wave of storytellers.”
