Dave Coulier shares encouraging update on recovery from multiple cancers

Dave Coulier has shared an emotional update with fans about his health journey, opening up on social media about the ongoing effects of his cancer treatments and recovery process.

The Full House star, 66, addressed recent concerns after followers noticed changes in his appearance and voice, explaining that what people are seeing is largely the result of intensive medical treatment rather than a worsening condition.

“I haven’t posted in quite a while, and the last time I did some of you said that I look differently, and I sound differently, and I do,” he wrote in an Instagram update.

Coulier said he is currently dealing with the aftereffects of radiation therapy, which has significantly impacted his ability to eat and speak normally, leading to noticeable weight loss.

He revealed that he has lost approximately 45 pounds during treatment, noting that he has not been able to consume solid food for several months.

“What you’re seeing is the side effects of extensive radiation that I went through,” he explained, adding that his condition has affected his daily functioning.

Despite these challenges, Coulier offered an encouraging update, saying his prognosis has improved and that he is responding positively to treatment.

“The prognosis looks good for both the carcinoma in my throat and the lymphoma. So we’re very pleased with all of that,” he said.

Coulier was first diagnosed in late 2024 with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a form of cancer that he later said he had recovered from in 2025.

Following that diagnosis, doctors discovered p16 squamous carcinoma in his throat, which required further intensive treatment.

The actor said he continues to recover from both conditions and remains focused on regaining his strength as he works through the long-term effects of therapy.
