Karlovy Vary Film Festival to honour Dustin Hoffman, Juliette Binoche, Jeffrey Wright

Dustin Hoffman, Juliette Binoche, Jeffrey Wright and cinematographer Robert Richardson are set to be honoured at the upcoming Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, which will also welcome appearances from Harvey Keitel, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.
Deadline reported that the festival, running from July 3–11, 2026, will recognise the four film industry figures for their outstanding contributions to global cinema, with awards split across its opening and closing ceremonies.
Hoffman to Receive Tribute at Opening Ceremony
Dustin Hoffman, a two-time Oscar winner and seven-time nominee, will receive a Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema at the festival’s opening ceremony.
His career spans more than six decades, with acclaimed roles in films including The Graduate, Midnight Cowboy, Kramer vs. Kramer, Tootsie and Rain Man. He also made his directorial debut in 2012 with Quartet.
Karlovy Vary will also screen The Graduate in his honour during the festival.
Binoche to Be Honoured at Closing Ceremony
Juliette Binoche will receive her Crystal Globe at the festival’s closing ceremony, celebrating a career that includes Three Colours: Blue, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Chocolat and The English Patient, the latter earning her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
The festival will screen Certified Copy, Three Colours: Blue and In-I in Motion as part of its tribute to the French actress.
Jeffrey Wright Receives President’s Award
Jeffrey Wright will be awarded the festival’s President’s Award. The Oscar-nominated actor is known for his work in Basquiat, Angels in America, Casino Royale, Westworld and American Fiction.
His career spans film, television and theatre, with accolades including a Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe.
Robert Richardson to Be Celebrated for Cinematography Career
Three-time Oscar winner Robert Richardson will also receive a Crystal Globe for his work as one of cinema’s most influential cinematographers.
He is known for long-standing collaborations with directors Oliver Stone, Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino, with credits including Platoon, JFK, Casino, Kill Bill, Django Unchained and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Richardson will also participate in a documentary portrait screening titled Robert Richardson: The White Devil during the festival.
Star-Studded Line-Up Expected in Karlovy Vary
Alongside the honourees, the festival will host appearances from Harvey Keitel, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, who will present their family film Family Movie with their children.
The 60th edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival continues its tradition of celebrating global cinematic talent, with screenings, tributes and premieres scheduled throughout the week-long event.
