Queen Elizabeth II, whose full name was Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, remained the queen of the United Kingdom and other commonwealth realms from 1952 to 2022.

She was born on April 12, 1926 and died on September 8, 2022 at the age of 96, which marked an end to her longest reign.

During her 70-year- rule, the late queen played a key role in shaping the monarchy to the best of her interests.

Her majesty, who ruled the longest than any other monarch in British history, had raised four kids while also undertaking major duties as the queen.

After ascending to the throne at age 25, her life had changed for the good from a young wife and mother to a busy Head of State.

During both crisis and celebration, she became an important figurehead for the UK and the commonwealth.
