'Brahmastra' on path to become Ranbir Kapoor’s highest opener ever
As per initial analysis, 'Brahmastra' may end up becoming Ranbir Kapoor’s highest opener ever, beating 'Sanju'

The Ayan Mukerji directorial starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Brahmastra, has taken a steady start with a generous start at the box office, and is reportedly on way to becoming Ranbir's biggest opener ever.
As per the initial analysis, the film is doing well and it may end up beating Sanju as Ranbir's biggest opening gross.
Brahmastra looks set to achieve INR 35 crores on the first day of release; exhibitors from Delhi and Mumbai say the figure could easily be closer to INR 40 crores as well.
An exhibitor from Delhi quoted by Hindustan Times said, “A lot of early reviews are saying it’s good VFX and action and such films bring in kids and family audiences. It’s a Marvel-type film which gets youngsters and if that word spreads, it can get good growth in mass pockets too.”
The film has shown 40-50% occupancy for its morning shows, and numbers are also well for the evening shows.
According to Atul Mohan, it was risky to release the film on account of a religious festival, because people don’t go to movies until lunch, but numbers seem to be increasing for evening and night shows.
Sanju, a film based on the life of veteran actor Sanjay Dutt, was Ranbir’s highest opener and collected a lifetime haul of INR 586 crores.
