Ariana Grande has left fans in awe with the release of the first look poster from the highly anticipated Wicked movie adaptation.

In the first look photo shared by Vanity Fair, the Everyday crooner exuded angelic vibes in a pink ballgown and a tiara on her head while she stood amidst tulips, clutching a wand in her hand.

Grande, who will portray the character of Glinda in the prequel to The Wizard of Oz, has shared the major details about her movie and also opened up about getting an opportunity to play Glinda onscreen after the decade-long hunt.

The 7 Rings songstress stated while speaking with Vanity Fair, “It was literally 10 years of being like, 'Knock, knock, any developments? Is there an audition coming this year, or next year? I would like to start preparing today.”

Jon M. Chu, the director of Grande’s character, revealed his desire to cast someone who is an unknown performer in the leading role, but Grande took the lead.

Every time she came in to audition, she'd be there at least 30 minutes early,” recalled Chu.

The movie-maker added. “I'd see her car circling. I'd be like, 'Who is that?' 'That's Ariana Grande.' 'Why is she here so early?”

Following her audition Chu and producer Marc Platt confirmed whom they are going to take the role of Glinda, stating, “We're like, ‘We're done.

Ariana Grande along with Ethan Slather, and Cynthia Erivo included in the star-studded cast of Wicked which is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on November 27, 2024.
