Taylor Swift unveils new single 'Fortnight' featuring Post Malone from 'The Tortured Poets Department'

Taylor Swift has dropped the first single Fortnight with Post Malone from her latest album The Tortured Poets Department.
The Lover singer’s new song was released on Friday, April 19, 2024, and she also ignited the fans’ excitement by teasing the first music video for Fortnight (feat. Post Malone), which will drop on Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
Fortnight kicked off with a melodic tune and verse by Swift that reads, “I was s'posed to be sent away/But they forgot to come and get me/ I was a functioning alcoholic/ 'Til nobody noticed my new aesthetic/ All of this to say, I hope you're okay/ But you're the reason/ And no one here's to blame/ But what about your quiet treason?”
On Thursday, she shared an update on her collaboration with the Goodbyes crooner .
Swift shared the monochrome snap with Malone, along with the caption, “The first single from The Tortured Poets Department is…………. Fortnight featuring @postmalone.”
The Anti-Hero singer added, “I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever.”
“I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight. Honestly can’t wait for you guys to hear this song at Midnight TONIGHT and see the video at 8pm ET TOMORROW,” Swift concluded the post.
Soon after she dropped her first single, it garnered almost 635,827 views on YouTube in just 1 hour.
The fans rallied to the comment section to express their love for the recently released song.
