Blake Lively spills on cooking for her kids and unique lemonade ingredient

She may be a Hollywood starlet with a glittering résumé, but at home, Blake Lively is simply “Mom”. And now, she’s giving fans a rare peek into the sweet and relatable world of her family kitchen.

Speaking exclusively to Delish, the Gossip Girl alum opened up about one of the challenges of parenting: picky eaters.

“I always was like, ‘I’m gonna be the parent that’s gonna make one meal, and you’re gonna get what you get, and they’re gonna love it,’” she said, adding, “But they have such different palates... Can you guys just agree on one thing so I can make one thing?”

Lively further shared how she took on the challenge in style.

“I do really love to cook,” she admitted. “So I do end up making different things for different kids. Their palates change. They try a lot when they’re little, and then they just wanna go into beige foods. There’s that period. And then they start trying things again. Even my palate changes so much. It’s fun. I love cooking.”

Lively also spilled about her unconventional addition to one of her go-to drinks: lemonade.

“I just really like butter. Anything butter. Butter is in our lemonades,” she revealed. “It’s my little secret. My little umami. I know it’s a weird thing. It just gives it a little je ne sais quoi.”

Besides her wholesome family life, Lively is also facing legal challenges. The actress is set to face a trial in March 2026 amid an ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
