Rob Reiner’s children speak out after Nick Reiner’s first court appearance

Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner’s other children, Jake and Romy, have spoken out for the first time since their parents’ death and brother Nick’s appearance in court.

While the siblings did not address their brother’s charges, their statement revealed, “The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience.”

“They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends,” they added. “We are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness, and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life.”

Jake and Romy concluded their message by requesting “respect and privacy” and expressing hope “for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave.”

Nick Reiner was presented in court for the first time on December 17, following his arrest and subsequent charges in the double homicide of Rob and Michele Reiner.

After the offender’s refusal to enter a plea, the Los Angeles court scheduled his arraignment for January 7, 2026.
