Some famous people have had really unusual pets, not dogs or cats, but a lot more wild or exotic animals, which capture a similar side of their celebrity parents.

They have had pets like snakes, tigers and even monkeys, that got a lot of attention and having pets like these is a big job which sometimes makes for interesting stories about the celebrities and their crazy pets.

Audrey Hepburn’s pet deer

Audrey Hepburn had a pet deer named Ip (short for Pippin) who became her companion when the actress was filming the movie Green Mansions in 1959.

The animal trainer on the movie suggested Audrey to take Ip home so that the deer would bond with her as this helped her naturally in their scenes together. Audrey had a sweet connection with Ip and pictures of her with the deer are really charming.

Paris Hilton’s pet Kinkajou

Paris Hilton, a big name in early 2000s tabloid news, loved having unique things and her pet Kinkajou named Baby Luv was one of them.

A Kinkajou is a nocturnal natural animal that lives in rainforest and Baby Luv was part of the reality star’s collection of exotic pets, which also included tiny dogs and ferrets.

In 2006, Baby Luv made headlines after it bit Paris and vets said that the Kinkajou should be euthanized because of the bite but the House of Wax actress did not agree.

Kristen Stewart’s Wolf-Dog hybrid

Kristen Stewart who starred in the Twilight movies, really likes wolves as she has a pet that is part wolf and part dog named Jack. It is one of several wolf-dog pets that her mom has raised.

The American actress says Jack is like a big bear but is totally tame and some people have issues with owning animals like wolf-dogs but Kristen says they are sweet and get good care.

Nicolas Cage’s Octopus

Nicolas Cage who is known for his eccentric taste and larger-than-life personality, once bought a pet octopus.

According to the National Treasure actor, the octopus helped him with his acting as he paid $150,000 for the sea creature which he housed in a tank.

Justin Bieber's Monkey

Justin Bieber had a pet monkey named Mally, a capuchin monkey that was given to him as a 19th birthday present by music producer Jamal Rashid.

Though Mally was at the centre of a slight controversy when the STAY singer took him to Germany for a concert in 2013 without proper documentation.

German customs officials confiscated Mally due to lack of vaccination records and proof of legal purchase and the monkey was then taken to animal shelter in Germany, specifically the Serengeti Wildlife Park where he was rehabilitated with a group of capuchin monkeys.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s pet Tortoise

Not much is known about Leonardo DiCaprio's pet tortoise, however it is in the public sphere of information that he does own one.

The Titanic actor's choice of pet makes perfect sense as he is known for his environmental activism and has a foundation called the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation that works on protecting wildlife and the environment.
