Myka Meier who is a Royal etiquette expert shared that royals like Prince William and Kate Middleton refrain from PDA because they are “technically working as representatives of the British monarchy and must remain professional.”

Unsure who should enter the car first with the Queen:

One of Meghan’s earliest royal moments showed just how tricky protocol can be. On her first solo engagement with Queen Elizabeth in Cheshire, Meghan hesitated when it came time to enter the car. Unsure of the order, she politely asked the Queen, “What’s your preference?” The Queen graciously let her go ahead.
