Lili Reinhart calls ‘Riverdale’ a ‘Perfect Runway’ for her Hollywood journey
The 'Look Both Ways' actress credits the show for shaping her career
Lili Reinhart feels cherished looking back at her time as Betty Cooper on Riverdale, calling it a foundation for her career.
The 29-year-old actress opened up about her experience on the series during the November 24 episode of Live! With Kelly and Mark, joined by co-star Mark Consuelos, who played a Hiram Lodge from season two.
“I think it was everything,” Reinhart said. “I was lucky enough to be on a show that really, everything one could do in a show, I did on that show. Every genre, every plot… It’s rare to be on a show that doesn’t really stick to one thing. We just kept on going.”
She added that the diverse challenges of Riverdale helped shape the choices she makes today.
“So I find that the projects that I do now, whatever it may be, there’s some level of what I’m doing now that I did on that show.
Reinhart described her time on the series as “a perfect runway” for her future in Hollywood, a sentiment she carries into her post-Riverdale projects.
"I’m appreciative of that for the rest of my career," she said.
