The 'Roar' singer introduces a playful game called 'Is This Cardboard or Is This Cake'
Katy Perry confuses her fans sometimes about whether she’s a singer or an actress, because she’s so good at acting.
In a funny new Instagram Reel posted Tuesday, the 41-year-old pop star introduced a playful game called “Is This Cardboard or Is This Cake?”, only to discover that not everything is as sweet as it looks.
The Dark Horse singer is seen in the clip next to a model microphone stand featuring butterfly wings, like those she performs with on The Lifetimes Tour.
Addressing the camera, she said, “Hi, I’m in Shanghai and welcome to my episode of Is This Cardboard or Is This Cake?”
With the suspense building, Perry takes a bold bite… only to immediately say. “Oh f---, it’s cardboard!” she laughs, spitting out the prop as her team starts laughing.
The lighthearted mishap follows Perry’s first of three shows in Shanghai on November 24, part of her ongoing tour, which will next take her to Hangzhou, Tokyo, and conclude in Abu Dhabi on December 7 before a holiday break.
