'Rush Hour 4’ is finally happening
'Rush Hour 4' is returning with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker
Rush Hour 4 is officially in development, two decades after the last installment was released.
According to Deadline, the fourth instalment of the popular film starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker is set to be distributed by Paramount on behalf of Warner Bros.
The move comes after prodding from United Stated President, Donald Trump on behalf of Brett Ratner, who directed all the previous three movies.
The 79-year-old president had “personally pressed” Skydance Media’s David Ellison to revive the 90s popular action-comedy movie franchise.
For the unversed, Ratner’s career collapsed in 2017 after several female actors accused him of sexual misconduct. However, he has denied the allegations and was never charged.
It’s worth mentioning here that apart from the duo, casting for Rush Hour 4 has not yet been finalised yet.
After appearing in this year's Karate Kid: Legends, Jackie Chan next leads the movies Panda Plan 2.
Meanwhile, Chris Tucker last appeared on screen in the 2023 movie, Air, which also starred Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
