Glen Powell takes audiences on a morally twisted ride in the A24 thriller How to Make a Killing, where ambition meets deadly cunning.

In the film’s new trailer, Powell’s character Becket Redfellow, lays bare his ruthless determination to claim a fortune that was denied to him. “There were seven of them seven rich pricks between myself and $28 billion. If I were to prune a few branches of the family tree …”

The story inspired by Robert Hamer’s 1949 British classic Kind Hearts and Coronets follows Becket a man cast aside by a phenomenally wealthy family as he hatches increasingly audacious schemes to seize what he believes is rightfully his no matter the cost.

Violence, deception and dark humor clash in a narrative that’s as chilling as it is clever.

Joining Powell are Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Zach Woods, Topher Grace, Bill Camp and Ed Harris rounding out a cast primed to deliver sharp performances that balance wit with menace.

Produced by Graham Broadbent, Peter Czernin and Adam Friedlander and financed by StudioCanal How to Make a Killing originated from a 2014 Black List script by John Patton Ford initially titled Rothchild.

The Hit Man actor's fresh from his role in Paramount’s The Running Man expressed his excitement about the project hinting at a title change from Huntington before the release.

The film written and directed by Ford, the film is set to hit theaters on February 20, 2026 promising audiences a darkly comic thriller where greed knows no bounds.
