Michael B. Jordan opened up about his personal life on David Letterman’s Netflix show

The Black Panther star gave fans a glimpse into his life outside Hollywood, sitting down for a candid chat on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.

Recently, during a break from directing and starring in the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, scheduled for release in 2027, Jordan spoke frankly over a casual game of darts about his personal life, his hopes for starting a family, and his surprising love language.

Jordan, who gained fame through Fruitvale Station, the Creed films, most recently starred in the 2025 horror thriller Sinners and made his directorial debut with Creed III.

Despite his professional success, he admits to Letterman that his busy schedule leaves little room for his personal life.

In Season 6 of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, the Without Remorse actor described his life as “boring” due to the demands of his busy career in a short video shared by Netflix.

Letterman joked, “You think it’s boring, you ought to follow me around.”

The Just Mercy star revealed his desire to start a family but emphasised that he wants to take it step by step.

“I want to start out small. I want a kid. I want children. I want to get, yeah… I want children, but I figure I got to start off with like plants and dogs,” Jordan said.

He added, “If I can take care of a plant, I can take care of the dog. If the dog’s cool, then I have a shot.”

While Jordan is currently single, he has previously dated model and influencer Lori Harvey from early 2021 to mid 2022 and despite his career focus, he shared that his love language is cooking for others, suggesting he will have no trouble finding love when he is ready.
