‘Ted’ returning for season 2 on Sky
The comedy prequel premieres on Peacock in the US from March 5
Sky will bring back Ted for a second season this March, with the broadcaster confirming the prequel series will return on Sky and NOW, according to Chortle.
The comedy follows the early years of the foul-mouthed teddy bear made famous in Seth MacFarlane’s hit films. MacFarlane, who also voices Ted, serves as co-showrunner alongside Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh.
Season two picks up in 1990s Framingham, Massachusetts, where Ted is living with his best friend, 17-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder).
MacFarlane and the showrunners said in a joint statement: “We hope you enjoy these eight somewhat filthy, hopefully funny, heartfelt episodes about a young man, his talking teddy bear, and their highly dysfunctional family.”
They also joked that anyone who doesn’t enjoy the new episodes can “leave all the episodes playing to completion on multiple devices throughout the house.”
Ted season two premieres on Peacock in the US from March 5, with the UK launch to follow soon after.
