Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ sets course with first trailer
'The Odyssey' is set to release worldwide on July 17, 2026
The Odysseuses finally return home after a long battle for life with God.
Universal Pictures released the official trailer of the most anticipated film, ‘The Odyssey’, from Academy Award-winning director Christopher Nolan.
The movie is adapted from the ancient Greek poem by Homer of the same name, seven months before the movie is set to premiere in theaters in 2026.
An official synopsis describes the project as “a mythic action epic shot across the world” using newly developed IMAX film technology.
Moreover, the film is Nolan’s first since Oppenheimer 2023, the director's Oscar-winning movie, and will be the first feature shot entirely with IMAX film cameras.
The ensemble cast includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Mia Goth, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron and Jon Bernthal.
The Odyssey opens worldwide on July 17, 2026.
