Pete Davidson offered a quiet update on his long-running tattoo removal process as he was pictured holding his newborn daughter, Scottie.

The photos shared on Instagram by his partner Elsie Hewitt on December 22, show the comedian shirtless, holding the baby during skin-to-skin contact. “My best friends,” Hewitt wrote alongside the photo.

Davidson has previously said the removal of his more than 200 tattoos is a lengthy and costly process, estimated to exceed $200,000 and take more than a decade to complete.

In an earlier interview, Davidson said the decision was tied to his mental health recovery.

“I was a sad person and felt ugly,” he said, adding that the tattoos reminded him of a difficult period marked by addiction and insecurity.  “I’m removing them and starting fresh.”

He has described the procedure as painful, requiring multiple sessions per tattoo with long healing periods in between. “It’s gonna take me another 10 years,” he said.

The couple welcomed their first child, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, earlier this month.

Hewitt announced the birth on Instagram, calling her daughter her “best work yet,” while Davidson added, “Wu-Tang forever.”
