Chuck Norris has paid a heartfelt tribute following the death of his former wife, Dianne Holechek, who died aged 84 after a long battle with dementia.
The Hollywood action star confirmed the news in a statement to Fox News Digital, saying he was “deeply saddened” by her passing.
Despite their divorce more than three decades ago, Norris said the pair remained close friends.
“After being married for 30 years, we were able to find a way to remain close friends, and those years of friendship meant the world to me,” he said.
Norris described Holechek as “an incredible person,” adding: “She was kind, intelligent and lived life to the fullest. Her presence in my life will never be forgotten.”
He also praised her as a devoted mother to their two sons, Mike and Eric, saying they were always her greatest pride.
According to TMZ, Holechek died peacefully at her home in Texas, a detail confirmed by their son Mike Norris.
The couple married in 1958 and divorced in 1989 after 30 years together.
