Ariana Grande receives heartfelt tribute from Barbara Streisand

Barbra Streisand recently shared her admiration for Ariana Grande in a heartfelt Instagram post.

On Tuesday, December 3, the legendary singer posted a throwback photo of herself with Grande and praised the pop star in a warm caption.

“Ariana is a young woman with an amazing talent. She has a beautiful voice like no one else, and so much more,” the 83-year-old actress wrote.

The Funny Girl star continued, “She can act, she can dance, she can be funny! She’s also sweet, kind and thoughtful, I’m very proud of you Ariana and thanks for singing with me on my album… Big hug, Barbra.”

She added a postscript referencing Grande’s recent TV appearance, “P.S. you were wonderful on Saturday Night Live and looked so pretty @arianagrande!”

The 32-year-old singer, responded actively in the comments, thanking Streisand for the unexpected praise.

Grande wrote, “Barbra !!!!!!!! what !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my goodness, thank you so much for this kindest surprise today! you made my day, my year, my life!, this means so much, coming from you. i just love you so. I miss you and I hope I get to hug you soon… all my love and appreciation. thank you. ”

The exchange comes ahead of the Everyday songstress’ role in the upcoming Focker In-Law, the fourth film in the Meet the Parents franchise which previously featured Streisand in Meet the Fockers.

For the unversed, Barbra Streisand’s latest album, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume 2, released in June includes a collaboration with Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey on One Heart, One Voice.
